Back to school

So I finally started back to school on Monday at Clayton State. It's been nearly seven years since I've been a full-time student, so I've got a few cobwebs to clear out. I've got around 50 hours of school left, which works out to about three semesters. I'm going to apply for some internships, so that may stretch out another semester. Hopefully, I'll have some more interesting photos to post on here soon.

Magnum cool

While killing time in a Tuscaloosa, Ala., hotel on Friday, I rediscovered how incredibly cool Magnum P.I. was. A friend of mine said he doesn't hold a candle to MacGyver, but we all know Magnum is in a league of his own. The Ferrari, the mustache … how could you go wrong?

Last day

Saturday was my last day at for The Griffin Daily News, after working there a little more than three years. There are some things I will miss, but a lot I won't. I start class at Clayton State on Aug. 20 to finish my bachelor's degree in journalism, so wish me luck. You can see a few of my favorite from the GDN on my sportsshooter page.

I know this isn't a photo, but I just have to share it. This song is absolutely beautiful. Be patient, 'cause he talks for a while about the meaning of the song before the music starts. But trust me, it's worth it.

Too hot for golf

Maybe not for some people, but it was too hot for me. After I shot this at the Griffin City Park Golf Course today, I tried to hit a bucket of balls at the driving range, but couldn't finish because of the heat. And it was only 8:30 a.m.
