A little gift...

I've had a lot on my mind the past couple days, so I took one of those (really) late night drives tonight, and almost wrecked my car trying to stop to get this shot. It's not every day that the moonlight reflects off the water like this. It was like God was smiling down on me, saying "here's a little gift for you....have a nice day."

Un-Groundhog Day

I know, I said I wasn't posting any more photos from Father's Day weekend, but it was requested that I show this one. I really like it and I was going to post it earlier, but I figured you guys had seen enough family shots for a while. But then I realized that's it's mostly family who looks at this thing, so what's it gonna hurt?
So recently, Pap-Paw has had a small problem with groundhogs eating the green peas, corn, and other vegetables in his small garden. His answer? Wait with a 12-gauge shotgun about 20 yards away and kill each and every one that even thinks about getting a nibble. Now this might seem a little drastic to you and me, but it was just another matter of business for Tommy Garrish.

Conflict

I got bored tonight and drug Nathan out in a field to play around with some long exposures. I thought this frame was kind of fitting, considering Nathan is sometimes his own worst enemy.

Dear ol' Dad

Here's the last of the photos I took this weekend that I'm going to post. The top photo is of my Dad and step-Grandfather. They were hanging out on Pap-Paw's front porch — I forget what they were laughing about, but I really like this one. The bottom photo is of my Dad while working in the chicken houses he cleans out every night. He's a hard-working man, that's for sure, even though he pushes a pencil by day.

Two sets

I visited both sets of my parents this weekend, and I thought it would be a good idea to get a few portraits of them together. Now if I could only get a picture of all of them together. Maybe when I get married.

Sunday afternoon

It was so beautiful driving home from my parents house on Sunday on GA 83. I think the area between Madison to Jackson is one of the prettiest stretches of road in the state. I saw these horses on a little farm just south of Monticello and stopped to get a few shots. It was so cool because they came over and let me pet them for a minute...I just wish I would've had an apple. Anyways, I'll be posting some more photos from this past weekend over the next few days.
